The CCP is focused on ensuring effective coordination, strategic management, and seamless communication in the impl. of the TAP, which supports the develop.of tourism in the cross-border Danube Islands destination. Its goal, under the leadership of RDV EGTC, is to lay a solid foundation for the successful implementation of all related activities, with an emphasis on administrative preparedness, operational collaboration, and the effective integration of partners from both sides of the border.

The project will focus on the coordination of 2 key projects that collectively shape the tourism development of the Danube Islands destination: Danube Bike (construction of a cycling route, a cycling bridge, parking areas, cycling rest stops, and signage for cycling routes in the 4 municipalities) and Danube Boat (renovation of part of the mill, development of water tourism, construction of a pier, installation of equipment for cyclists, establishment of sanitary facilities and procurement of canoeing equipment).

Key activities include strategic coord. of project components and partners, organising regular meetings, ensuring effective internal communication, and overseeing the timely and high-quality implementation of activities in accordance with the project schedule. CCP also focuses on precise monitoring of proj. progress. This includes preparing regular reports at the partner and project levels to ensure clear oversight of goal achievement, financial commitments, and planned outcomes.

An essential part of the project is education and knowledge exchange through training sessions, conferences, and workshops that enhance the professional capacities of partners and tourism stakeholders. These activities will pave the way for the creation of joint tourism packages and the promotion of the Danube Islands destination within the marketing and capitalization framework.
The CCP serves as a vital connecting element among 13 cross-border partners, creating a synergic effect across the various levels of TAP. It provides a strong platform for coordination, collaboration, and innovation, without which the effective linking of tourism entities, harmonisation of activities on both sides of the border, and the long-term development of the destination would not be possible. CCP thus acts as a fundamental building block for the successful development of cross-border tourism in the Danube Islands.
